This Privacy Policy sets forth the principles and guidelines governing the protection of Your Personal Data including Your Personal Data collected on or through the website(s) and concerning the website(s) visitors and users ("You" or “Your”). Bitfi uses your Personal Information to:

  • Send communications to you, such as product safety information, your transaction status including order confirmations, information about particular Bitfi programs in which you have chosen to participate, information about products and services available from Bitfi, promotional offers and surveys;

  • Enforce the conditions of sale, website terms and/or separate contracts (if applicable) with you;

a) Account and membership information: Personal information processed could include your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, Bitfi user name, device identifier information such as your wallet ID code, communications with Bitfi and any recorded complaints.  Bitfi may also process your account credentials, passwords, profile information and other personal information you provide to facilitate the services you use.

b) Cookies or similar technologies: A cookie is a small text file or piece of data that is downloaded to and stored on your computer or device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognizes the cookie. Bitfi may use different types of cookies or similar technologies (“Cookies”) from time to time. Certain Cookies are necessary to facilitate your use of Bitfi services (such as when you use a shopping basket) or to protect both you and Bitfi when you sign-in to certain services (such as storing your credentials to make it easier whenever you want to use Bitfi services or to confirm that you are logged in). c) Financial information: If you purchase a product, service, software or customer support from Bitfi, we may process credit card or other payment information and use it to facilitate billing and credit services.

d) General usage data: In some cases, personal information  that includes technical properties and general usage information of software and hardware utilized in conjunction with a Bitfi service may be processed when you use such products, services or software (e.g. type of web browser, referring or exit web pages, operating system version, hardware model of your device or personal computer platform, IP address).

e) Quality assurance and customer service: Your customer service email exchanges and telephone calls with Bitfi may be recorded or monitored for quality assurance and customer service purposes such as to assist in addressing your inquiries, troubleshooting, training and analytics to identify trends and make improvements to Bitfi products and services.

Protection of personal data concerning children

Bitfi products and services are not marketed to children under the age of 18 and Bitfi does not knowingly collect, or store Personal Data from children under the age of 18. Bitfi is committed to protecting the privacy of children and if Bitfi becomes aware that such information was collected, it will treat that information as sensitive. However, certain Bitfi products and services may be appropriate for use by children, and in that case children must seek consent from their parents prior to creating a Bitfi account. Teachers and school administrators may act in the place of parents and provide consent for the collection of Personal Data from children (schools should always ensure that they have received permission from parents to do so). If parents become aware that their child has provided Bitfi with Personal Data without their consent or without a teacher’s or school administrator’s consent, they can ask Bitfi to remove such Personal Data and terminate the child’s account by sending an email to support@bitfi.com.

Safeguarding your personal information

Bitfi maintains sophisticated technological measures to protect your personal information.  For example, your name and password will have a variety of security measures in place that are designed to protect against the loss, misuse and unauthorized alteration of the personal information submitted to Bitfi. Through our Standard Operating Procedures, Bitfi employees are trained on the secure and appropriate handling of personal information, to keep it in secure locations and systems, and to limit access to personal information to those within the organization strictly on a need to know basis.

Bitfi makes available from its website products for purchase by the public, although not all products or services are available in every geography. Many times such products are offered for sale by an authorized Bitfi reseller that is responsible for processing and fulfilling all orders. Please read carefully such vendors' Privacy Policy before providing your personal data.

User submission to website

You are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from this website any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, confidential, or other material that would violate any law, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, trade secret, or any other laws protecting the rights of third parties. This website is controlled by Bitfi Corporation from its offices in North Carolina, United States. Bitfi makes no representation that materials at this website are appropriate or available for use outside of the United States and access to them from territories where their contents are illegal is prohibited. Those who access this site from other jurisdictions do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws. Any claim relating to the materials on this website shall be governed by the substantive laws of the State of North Carolina, excluding its principals as to conflicts of law or the United Nations Convention on contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use or access or otherwise related to this website shall be finally settled by a competent court of North Carolina.

Withdrawing your consent
